JWA and the Grand Prairie Police Department are excited to present our 2nd Annual JWA/GPPD Spring Classic Police Motorcycle Competition through the week of April 17-21, 2012. 

This is a Competition that tests the skills of Police Motor Officers from around Texas and around the nation. Not only will officers be able to compete, they also receive training that is recognized for TCLEOSE Credit. The skills competition will begin on Thursday,  April 19th, and end on Saturday, April 21st. 

This event has attracted motor officers from the Great State of Louisiana and all over Texas. We are hoping for more out of state participants this year.  The Event will be held at The Home Depot, 5280 S. Hwy 360 in Grand Prairie, TX. We would like to thank The Home Depot for generously donating their parking lot for our 4 day event.

Proceeds from this event and our 1st Annual Golf Tournament will benefit Special Olympics. Last year we donated over $4,000.00 to Spokes4 hope, a non-profit organization that donates bicycles to less fortunate children.  Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
